Two tornadoes associated with Tropical Storm Bob formed on August 3, 1991, affecting a small portion of Volusia County, Florida, as the storm moved up the east coast of the US.

Bob therefore holds the record for the strongest tornado spawned by a tropical cyclone with Audrey, which caused an F4 tornado in Texas whilst active.

The outbreak was caused by the formation of mesovortices inside the eyewall, allowing cape velues to rapidly increase along the coast as Bob moved slowly offshore, triggering the formation of a eaterspout, which eventually caused F0 damage after landfall. About 45 minutes later, the tornado that woukd later become an F4 touched down, before it rapidly intensified and wrought havoc along its path.
