The November 2015 Tornado outbreak and flood was a massive tornado outbreak and flood that took place on November 12 and 13, 2015. It is considered by many to be one of the most catastrophic weather events in 2015.

Tornado Outbreak[]

A massive tornado outbreak was in place for most of the Midwest on Thursday, November 12, 2015. A cold front extended from the Texas Panhandle to South Dakota met with warm, tropical air further East. A surface low developed across the Eastern Midwest from Northwestern Georgia to Southern Michigan. Despite conditions that were favorable for severe weather, the weather remained calm and sunny over the area. People began to think it was pretty much a bust. Then, all of the sudden, A line of storms began to develop, black storm clouds took over the blue sky, winds began to whip, and the birds flew back to their nests.

Stillwater, Oklahoma[]

The tornado in Stillwater.

A massive tornado developed near the Stillwater area. This deadly Tornado caused major ground scouring and destroyed farmland. This was an EF4 tornado. The tornado killed 20 people west of town. A massive traffic jam occurred near the highway. Streets were filled with people trying to leave the city. A tornado emergency was issued for the area stating:

A tornado warning remains in effect for the Stillwater area. at 5:02 PM, A large tornado was on the ground about 1 mile west of Stillwater, moving east at 25 mph. This is a TORNADO EMERGENCY for the Stillwater area. Move indoors right now. This storm is producing tornadoes and large hail. A tornado watch is in effect until 8:00 this evening for Central Oklahoma.

Following the tornado, 20 People lost their lives, 10 of which were children. This was the worst tornado in Oklahoma since The Moore tornado in 2013.

Oklahoma City[]

A brief tornado struck downtown Oklahoma city area causing minor damage.

Flood[]

Following the Tornado outbreak, a major flash flood hit the eastern states. It is said to be the worst flood in the United states since the 2014 Super Flood. Many homes were washed away, and over 200 people lost their jobs. A man was trapped in his car for 90 minutes, and a massive landslide occurred blocking roadways.
