The 2048 Tornado spawned at least 4 tornadoes of each Fujita rating, as all tornadoes formed near one another, this season created 26 outbreaks and 41 multi-vortex tornadoes.
The South Outbreak[]
On April 12, a funnel cloud was spotted near Montgomery, Alabama, as storm chasers went to track the storm, this funnel began to near the ground, and wind speeds went up a notch, one hour after the funnel formation, at 3:47 EST, this funnel touched the ground, becoming a tornado. This tornado was 1.1 miles wide when it touched the ground, and it was capable of winds of a EF-2 (111-135 mph), as the NWS detected this storm, they issued Tornado Warnings for Montgomery county, Bullock county, and Pike county, lasting until 5:47 EST.
