the 2017 Michigan tornado outbreak was a extremely destructive tornado outbreak with struck Northern Indiana and all of Lower Michigan and some of Upper Michigan during the evening hours of July 11, 2017 and the early morning hours of July 12, 2017, the strongest tornado ever recorded occurred during this outbreak. The outbreak consisted of two rounds. The first round took place mostly in northern Indiana and western Michigan with the exception of the Manistique tornado and the Cedarville tornado (which both occurred in the Upper Peninsula). The second round produced many tornadoes across the entirety of Michigan, including four tornadoes inside metro Detroit.
